Built by Coaches for the Next Generation of Players.
We created the H.I.T. Center of RI with one mission in mind: to give players, coaches, and organizations a better indoor training experience. As active coaches ourselves, we (co-founders Joe Roumelis and Jeff Pallotta) spent years bringing teams to facilities that simply didn’t meet our standards — cramped and dusty spaces, poor lighting, missing equipment, and inefficient layouts that made it hard to run a productive practice.
So in April 2022, we set out to change that, and the H.I.T. Center was born in Smithfield, RI.
We designed a facility that checks every box:
- A layout that comfortably fits 15–20 athletes per team.
- On-site equipment; no lugging buckets or machines through the cold.
- Real leather balls, collegiate-level tools, and advanced analytics.
- Bright LED lighting, clean surfaces, and a climate-controlled environment.
- Efficient design that supports a full, high-intensity practice in two hours or less.
In just a short time, the H.I.T. Center has become a trusted destination for teams, players, instructors, and organizations across the region. We’re proud to offer a membership-based, year-round facility that delivers serious value, without the price tag that makes winter training impossible for some programs.

At the H.I.T. Center, we understand the financial challenges of youth sports. That’s why we’ve created a space where high-level training meets affordability. Whether you're a rec team, travel program, or school organization, we give you access to top-tier tools, expert support, and affordable rates so training doesn't overwhelm your budget.
Our goal is to strengthen our partner programs, no matter the level of play, by making elite-level training accessible to everyone, because player development is what matters most.

We don’t just rent cages. We’re here to help teams train smarter and more efficiently.
Need a practice plan? We’ve got them, and we share them at no cost. Want to use our pitching machines or analytics tools? We’ll show you how. If your team could benefit from hands-on help, we also offer H.I.T. instructors to assist or run your practice (subject to availability).
