H.I.T. STAFF

Joe is Co-Founder of H.I.T. Center, and Regional Director for Fury Platinum NE softball. He is the Head Coach for the 18U Fury Showcase team, as well as Asst. Coach for the 2023 State Champion La Salle Academy Rams. A Smithfield native, Coach Joe played 1B at Stetson Univ. (Class of '98), and manages Sales & Marketing at H.I.T.

Jeff is Co-Founder of H.I.T. Center and a lifelong resident of North Providence. He was a SS for the Univ. of Rhode Island (Class of '98), and is an experienced softball coach for 8 years. Jeff is 3B/Defense coach for the 16U Fury Platinum Showcase team.  Coach Jeff is a CPA and serves as Finance Dir. for the H.I.T. Center.

Gian was a 2x RI Gatorade POTY  while at Bishop Hendricken H.S. A Louisville Slugger All-American ('15), he attended BC from '16-'19.  Played two summers in the prestigious Cape Cod League for the nation's top prospects. Catcher for the NY Boulders of the Ind. League. Gian is our baseball programming advisor at H.I.T.

A native of Woonsocket, RI, Dickie played college ball at PC as a Pitcher, and has coached softball since 2000. He was the NFHS Northeast Section COTY in 2013 leading his Lincoln Lions softball team in back-to-back undefeated seasons and two D1 State Championships ('12 & '13).

Coach Pete, an elementary educator for 16 years, is a PE teacher in the Smithfield school system, currently serving Pleasant View Elementary. He is the Asst. Varsity Baseball Coach for SHS, helping the Sentinels win a D1 Division Championship in 2021.

Coach E was a two-time KCAC All-Conf infielder at Bethany College ('05-'06). He has coached at CCRI, Siena College, URI and Brown Univ, while also spending time as an Asst. for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League. Idris is the founder of the successful L&M Baseball program.

The current varsity baseball coach at Mount St. Charles, Doug pitched at PC (Class of ‘98) winning 3 Big East titles with the Friars in that span. He has served as a pitching coach for 22 years.  Doug teaches 6th grade math in the Lincoln school system.

Chris, a Providence native, was a star 2-way player (1B/P) for the Bryant Bulldogs out of Smithfield. Drafted by the Giants in the 12th round in 2019, Chris is a rapidly rising LHP prospect in the San Francisco minor league system, most recently for the AAA Sacramento River Cats.

PJ is a LHP for the AAA Albuquerque Isotopes (CO Rockies). An 11th Round Pick (2018) and 3rd team ABCA All-American, PJ was Team Capt. at UConn, setting the single-season record in saves (16) and ranks 2nd in UConn single-season history with 31 appearances.

Jimmy is the current Varsity Baseball Coach at Smithfield H.S., and has been involved with H.S. coaching for well over a decade. He is currently a P.E. Teacher at LaPerche Elementary. Jimmy was himself an All-State ballplayer at La Salle Acad. ('04) and played at Rhode Island College.
