FACILITY RULES

All users of this facility understand that they use the space at their own risk. The H.I.T. Center of RI, LLC is not liable for any personal injury or equipment damage sustained in or around cages or turf.

  • FOR TEAMS: All Rental Times include set up and clean up time. Plan ahead and be mindful of the team coming in after you.
  • FOR EVERYONE: All participants must sign our Liability Waiver prior to entering a cage, and adhere to the rules below.

Please take a moment to read our Facility Rules carefully:

  1. The Liability Waiver must be signed before any individual is allowed to enter a cage, and can be signed either online or in the facility at our Waiver Kiosk. A waiver need only be signed once. Any individual who enters a cage, at any time, must sign a waiver.
  2. An onsite Adult/Coach/Instructor is required when minors use the facility.
  3. Batters must wear helmets while hitting off a pitching machine or live pitcher, at all times. No exceptions.
  4. Protective screens must be used if there is a batter in the cage.  Front toss is to be limited to a minimum 15' distance.
  5. No swinging bats outside of batting cages.
  6. It is mandatory that all catchers wear proper catching equipment, including a mask, chest protector, and shin guards.
  7. H.I.T. Center softballs are provided for use while using the facility. Do not leave any balls on the ground when finished. Please return all balls to the cage bins from which they came and check to make sure none leave in your glove or bag by mistake.
  8. Do not hit in Cage 3; this is a pitching-only cage.
  9. The curtains between Cages 3 & 4 and 9 & 10 do not to slide back.
  10. Sneakers or turf shoes only - no cleats are allowed.
  11. No food is allowed in the facility.  This includes gum and seeds.
  12. Dispose of all your trash in the bins.
  13. Clean music is allowed, profanity is forbidden.
  14. Do not lean or hang bat bags on the nets, this creates holes.
  15. If you see anything that needs to be fixed, or have suggestions for improvements, please email info@hitcenterofri.com.

Finally…

A batting cage facility is a dangerous environment. Be aware of your surroundings when moving around the facility, particularly near the nets. Coaches, instructors, and parents are responsible for keeping an eye on other players and children while they move around the nets to avoid injury from a batted or thrown ball. The batting cage nets have some give to them, so avoid standing too close to a net if there is an active hitter next to you. Keep at least 3 feet away from any occupied cage.
