Need an extra opportunity to get ready for your season?  The H.I.T. Academy offers seasonal baseball and softball training programs for small groups. Led by our experienced coaching staff, these programs are designed to focus on specific aspects of the game. Sessions are age defined with a low player-to-coach ratio. Each player gets individual attention in a high energy, professional environment where young players learn best.


Athletes are challenged with skill instruction and drill work throughout their Academy curriculum.  Drill progressions are focused on developing good habits while improving feel at their position. Each Academy offers 2-hour weekly sessions. Depending on the instructor and offering, you can look forward to pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding instruction over the course of the year. The H.I.T. Academy sessions are the perfect choice to help players get the edge on their competition at an affordable price.

12 WEEKS; every SATURDAY 2:30-4:30 from 1/6/24 - 3/23/24


program description

AGE GROUP:  Grades 7-9

Professional level of instruction for catchers to elevate their skill behind the plate in time for spring.  Students will learn the finer points of giving signs, stances, receiving, blocking, footwork and transfer, throwing mechanics, plays at the plate, situational plays, pop time metrics, and more.  Hitting days will include targeted drills, body movement patterns, med ball stations, Hack Attack hitting, and video breakdown. This program will also cover preparing for college recruiting.  Players will complete an initial assessment on the first day of the program and a final assessment that will measure both hitting and catching metrics. Every student receives a final report with their personal data, coach assessments, and targeted areas of improvement.

infield & HITTING ACADEMY

11 WEEKS; every SUNDAY 2:30-4:30 from 1/7/24 - 3/24/24*

program description

AGE GROUP:  12U - Grades 4,5,6

This 11-week program will focus on infield work and hitting. Infield topics will cover positioning, posture, decision making, quickness, double plays, and tags. Hitting topics will cover box positioning, strategy, hitting pitches in different locations, and more. Players will complete an initial assessment on the first day of the program and a final assessment that will measure both hitting and fielding metrics. Measurables will include exit velocity, distance, launch angle and point of impact. Fielding metrics will include throwing velocity and timed plays.  Our athletes will receive a final report with these metrics and notes from instructors that detail areas of excellence as well as areas of improvement.
